چکیده

Wheat is one of the most important crops in world. Mapping QTLs for root traits essential selection wheat roots desirable efficient acquisition nutrients. Here, a QTL analysis was performed using 142 recombinant inbred lines derived from two varieties Xiaoyan 54 and Jing 411 soil column culture trial. The genetic map used this study contained 470 SSR markers covered 3438.4 cM genome. A total 25 shoot were detected, located at 16 marker intervals 13 chromosomes. percentage phenotypic variation explained by individual varied 6.1% to 22.0%. regulating RDW distribution on chromosomes 1A, 3A, 4A, 5B are growth both top- subsoils. For qRDW-1A, qRDW-3A, qRDW-5B, nearest much closer than that qRDW-4A, with distances ranging 0.01 1.18 cM. Combining these three not only increased nutrient uptake, but also GW, SDW, BDW under low nitrogen conditions field Therefore, valuable marker-assisted traits.

Distribution in genome of Quantitative trait loci (QTL) for yield and yield-related traits in common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

A major objective of quantitative trait loci (QTL) studies is to find genes/markers that can be used in breeding programs via marker assisted selection (MAS). From an extensive review, we surveyed the distribution of QTL for yield and yield-related traits on wheat genome. In order to identify the important regions involving in these traits, QTL meta-analysis was performed. As a result, 55 MQTL ...

Nutrient Uptake, Growth and Yield of Wheat (triticum Aestivum L.) as Affected by Manganese Application

The study was carried out for two consecutive years (2005-06 to 2006-07) to evaluate the wheat response to five different levels (0, 4, 8, 12 and 16 kg ha) of manganese (Mn) alongwith 150-100-60 kg NPK ha application. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three repeats under irrigated conditions at Agriculture Research Farm Karor, District Layyah. NPK was a...

Mapping QTL with additive effects and additive x additive epistatic interactions for plant architecture in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

In bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), crop height is an important determinant of agronomic performance. To map QTLs with additive effects and additive×additive epistatic interactions, 148 recombinant inbred lines and their parents, (‘YecoraRojo’ and Iranian landrace (No. #49)) were evaluated under normal and water deficit conditions. The experiments were carried out on research farms of Mahaba...

Effect of salinity on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain yield, yield components and ion uptake

Crops growing in salt-affected soils may suffer from physiological drought stress, ion toxicity, and mineral deficiency. A pot study was conducted in 2004-2005 in the Aghala area (northern Iran) to study the effect of different salinity levels, i.e. ECe= 3 (control), 8, 12 and 16 dS m-1 on wheat grain, yield components and leaf ion uptake of four Iranian wheat genotypes, i.e. Kouhdasht, Atrak, ...

Aluminum Tolerance in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) (I. Uptake and Distribution of Aluminum in Root Apices).

We investigated the uptake and distribution of Al in root apices of near-isogenic wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) lines differing in Al tolerance at a single locus (Alt1: aluminum tolerance). Seedlings were grown in nutrient solution that contained 100 [mu]M Al, and the roots were subsequently stained with hematoxylin, a compound that binds Al in vitro to form a colored complex. Root apices of Al-...
